Surgical Technician Coordinator, Main OR Surgery, Full time, 6:45am - 3:15pm (** For internal employee only)

The Surgical Technician Coordinator provides quality care for the patient undergoing surgical and invasive procedures. The Surgical Technician Coordinator is responsible for maintenance of the sterile field, handling supplies, instruments, and equipment during surgical procedures with the expectation of anticipating the needs of the surgeon.The Surgical Technician Coordinator works closely with other members of the surgical team to ensure patient safety, strengthen the financial performance of the department, and promote patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. The Surgical Technician Coordinator identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment for the patient and staff. In addition, The Surgical Technician Coordinator is responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing supplies in the Operating Room. This individual manages inventory (stock & nonstock), vendor supplies, physician special requests, tissue management, requisition management, completion of logs as assigned, and management of department recalls.
