TheCMO will play a crucial role in steering the organization towards achieving its mission and upholding its core values, leadership model, and customer service philosophy. This role demands a profound understanding of hospital operations, medical management, care coordination, and peer review processes.
The CMO will collaborate with the System Senior Vice President (SVP), Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Medical Officer to develop and implement innovative programs, policies, and procedures that enhance patient care across the continuum—from ambulatory to inpatient and post-acute settings. The CMO will also review medical records regularly to stay informed of patient issues and ensure that care plans are effectively executed, reducing complications, and delays. The CMO will monitor and improve key metrics, including length of stay, case mix index, and daily cost per adjusted patient day, contributing to the hospital's financial performance.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in medical director leadership, peer review, as well as inpatient medical management, and will possess a proven ability to drive and sustain improvements in critical metrics. A Doctor of Medicine degree and completion of a postgraduate medical education in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved residency program in a medical specialty with current board certification is required. An advanced degree in healthcare management or business-related field is desired.

Required Experience
Required:
- Licensed Physician in the State of California. Board-certified.
