The Clinical Educator works with the Clinical Director to orient, educate, and train the TCU staff in accordance with standards, regulations, and best practice, using a variety of teaching methods. Assists new and current staff in developing role clarity, professional role confidence, and proficiency. Operates as a change agent in the practice and learning environment and assists with staff and unit development.
This role meets the regulatory requirements of the Director of Staff Development/DSD.

Required Experience
Required:
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program
- Two years’ clinical experience in an acute care or post-acute care facility
- Director of Staff Development certification (DSD) with 6 months of hire
- Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH Only)
Preferred:
- MSN Degree
- Prior experience in long-term care setting
- Knowledge of Title XXII and Medicare regulations
- Knowledge/experience in adult teaching methods.
