The scribe works directly with the practitioner to assist with efficient and accurate documentation of patient visits. Documentation will be under physician supervision and review. Duties will also include, but are not limited to scheduling follow up appointments, entering patient orders/referrals within protocol, and providing clinical summary to patients.

Required Skills

• Strong verbal and written skills; fluent in English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and safety. Adaptability and accuracy.
• Must have good visual acuity and motor coordination.
• Strong computer skills (data entry and typing).
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) computerized practice management and other record keeping systems.
• Ability to multi-task and complete role with frequent interruptions.
• Honest, dependable, and conscientious.

Required Experience

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

• 6+ months in a healthcare setting.

• Prior experience documenting in an electronic medical record.
